I would like to take this chance to introduce myself. My name is Octavius Mulligan and I'm excited about the opportunity to serve as the principal of Tesnatee Gap Elementary School! I am fully devoted to creating a safe, positive and a high achieving learning environment for the students of White County.
As the year begins, I will embark on my 27th year in education. I spent 10 years in the classroom where I taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades at White Sulphur Elementary School in Gainesville, GA. I was selected as the "Teacher of the Year" in 2004 before becoming an assistant principal at Cornelia Elementary School. After serving as the assistant principal for two years, I was selected to be the assistant principal at South Habersham Middle School. I was also an assistant principal at Habersham Central for 7 years before serving in the same capacity at White County High School. I received a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, Specialist Degree and Doctorate Degree from Piedmont College. I also earned a leadership certificate from the University of Georgia.
The faculty and staff at Tesnatee Gap Elementary will work hard to build upon the foundation set before us by the faculty and staff of the former White County Intermediate School. We will continue to build strong relationships with our parents, students, and community members. Our main focus will be to offer engaging and meaningful learning opportunities for all students at TGAP!
I look forward to working with the parents, students and community members of TGAP to ensure that our students receive the best education possible. As principal of TGAP, my door is always open and I welcome your input and suggestions. Please do not hesitate to stop by or call if you have any questions or concerns.
Octavius L. Mulligan
